Mac-only availability limits enterprise team adoption
Granola was Mac-only through most of 2024–2025. Teams with mixed Windows/Mac users describe the tool as impractical for organization-wide rollout, limiting it to individual power users rather than becoming a shared team tool.

Background audio capture creates legal recording consent exposure
Granola captures system audio in the background during calls. In US states and countries with two-party consent laws, recording participants without disclosure is illegal. The app addresses this in documentation, but the onboarding doesn't prominently surface the legal requirement to notify meeting participants.
